Kunzan authored a painting manual entitled Kanga Hitori Geiko (i.e., Practicing Chinese-style Drawing by Oneself) in 1807. It included the thirteen pictures of flower and birds shown in this gallery. Click on a picture to enlarge it. Kunzan drew the shapes of his picture subjects accurately but he did not include their true colors.
